Father’s Day

Hi Neuma Kids!

Father’s Day is coming up on the September 6th!

Below are some different ideas that both Mums and their Kids can partner together and create for the Dad in their life.

Spoil Dad

Dads like to have fun in various ways. Below are some ideas on how you can spoil your Dad.

  • Make Dad a coffee
  • Give Dad an hour of alone time for himself at home
  • Make him his favourite snack
  • Play his favourite board or card game
  • Breakfast in Bed
    • Help Mum make his favourite breakfast (kids can help make toast, scramble the eggs etc)
    • Let Dad stay in bed for breakfast, whilst the kids help Mum wash up
  • Golf Game Day
    • Set mugs/cups on their sides on the ground
    • Use rolled up newspapers or books to hit ping-pong ball like objects into the mugs/cups
    • First person to get the ball into all the holes wins!

Themed Ideas

  • Karaoke Night
    • Use a hair brush as a microphone
    • Jump online (Youtube, Vimeo) and find videos of songs to sing together
  • Picnic in the House
    • Mum prepares and setups
    • Kids can help Mum by preparing sandwiches, snacks, etc
    • Use this time to tell Dad how much you love him and thank him for everything he does.
  • Scavenger Hunt
    • Mum and Kids could organise a Scavenger Hunt for Dad. Use the following activities for your Kids to do/hunt:
    • Take a video of yourself saying three things you love about Dad
    • Find Dad his favourite snack
    • Find an item around the house that reminds you of a fun time with Dad and show him the item while you share the story with him
    • Find an item around the house that reminds you of Dad when he’s away and then show and explain to him why it reminds you of him.
