Kids will learn about the Kingdom Culture value God’s Word is our Foundation. Kids will learn how to apply God’s Word in their daily lives to grow as a believer.

Part 1

Key Point: Strong foundations come from hearing and doing what God’s Word says.

So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock.

At the conclusion of this lesson children will:

  • Understand that the Bible teaches us how to live our best lives.
  • Learn that it’s not enough to just listen God’s Word.
  • Know that God’s Word in practice builds a strong foundation.

Part 3

Key Point: We need God’s Word everyday

Jesus answered, “It is written, ‘Man must not live only on bread. He must also live on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’

At the conclusion of this lesson children will:

  • Associate growing spiritually when we “feed” on God’s Word.
  • Understand the importance of daily Bible reading.
  • Learn how to apply scripture to their daily lives.

Part 2

Key Point: God’s Word guides our way

Key Scripture:

Your word is like a lamp that shows me the way. It is like a light that guides me.

Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this lesson children will:

  • Associate the imagery of lamps and lights to the Bible.
  • Learn that we can find guidance and comfort from the Bible.
  • Understand the importance of memorising scripture

Part 4

Key Point: God’s Word helps us fight our battles

Key Scripture:

Take the sword of the Holy Spirit. The sword is God’s word.
Ephesians 6:17 (NIRV)

Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of this lesson children will:

  • Learn that the Bible is our spiritual weapon.
  • Understand that we need to “keep it sharp” and train how to use it.
  • Know how it is used for spiritual battles.
