Part 1

Key Point: God Gives Generously

At the conclusion of this lesson children will:

  • Learn from the story of Elisha and the widow that God is generous and gives more than we expect.
  • Understand that the motive of their generosity will determine if it is an act of love.
  • Know how to demonstrate love to those around them by giving generously.

Part 3

Key Point: Love and generosity can transform lives.

Key Scripture:

Verses 5-6: Jesus reached the spot where Zacchaeus was. He looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, come down at once. I must stay at your house today.” So Zacchaeus came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

At the conclusion of this lesson children will:

  • Learn through the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus that acts of love and generosity can lead others to live right with God.
  • Discover how they can generously extend grace, time, and understanding towards others through Jesus’ example.
  • Understand how demonstrating love through generous acts can help others feel valued.

Part 2

Key Point: God’s love is limitless!

Lord, your love is as high as the heavens. Your faithful love reaches up to the skies.

At the conclusion of this lesson children will:

  • Discover the various gifts and blessings God has given to His disciples.
  • Understand that God’s love for them will never run out.
  • Know God’s love and generosity towards them can’t be measured.

Part 4

Key Point: God’s Greatest Gift.

Key Scripture:

Verse 11: The Wise Men went to the house. There they saw the child with his mother Mary. They bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures. They gave him gold, frankincense and myrrh.

At the conclusion of this lesson children will:

  • Learn that the Magi (Wise men from the east) came searching for Jesus, God’s greatest gift.
  • Know that God’s greatest expression of love and generosity to humanity was sending His Son, Jesus, to save us from sin.
  • Discover love and generosity go hand in hand.
