Prayer Fuels Power (Part 1)
Faith, humility, God’s will, and thanksgiving. Acknowledging and believing in God to pray to him required faith. Being in awe of Him and acknowledging who God is, allows us to approach His throne with humility, humbled by all that He is.
His will be done should be the prayer of every believer, we need to discern His will and acknowledge it so help us deal with what we consider “unanswered” prayers. Thanksgiving comes from believing that everything we have comes from God including our daily needs.
Read Matthew 21:22 in your Bibles or follow along online.
- What is prayer?
- Read Hebrews 11:1. In your own words, what is faith?
- How often should we pray?
- Why do we need to have faith when we pray?
- What are some ways we demonstrate or show our faith?
- How does reading the Bible help build our faith?
- Does God answer all our prayers?
- We can’t see the wind so how do we know it’s real?
- We can’t see God so how do we know He’s real?
Prayer is simply talking to God. The Bible says that God hears every single one of our prayers.
Think about the bible passage, What you have learnt?, What is standing out for you? Use these words to talk to God about what you are thinking and how you are feeling.
When we pray, We pray in faith. Take a moment to tell God something you are grateful for and tell him how much you love him!
Whether it’s 10 seconds or 10 minutes, gather with your family and spend a moment in prayer.
